Current Rapids who played at Invesco Field at Mile High

Today we kick off a new feature: a list that will be posted each Tuesday. I like to call it “The Tuesday List.”

This week, we have a short list. It involves current members of the Colorado Rapids who played for the Rapids at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Here’s the list:

Terry Cooke

Pablo Mastroeni

Jacob Peterson

Yep, that’s it. It was as recent as the 2006 season, yet only three players on the 2009 Colorado Rapids roster ever wore the black-and-blue (or the green or the blue-and-green, for that matter) in a regular-season Major League Soccer game for the Rapids at Invesco Field at Mile High. Jordan Harvey was on the Rapids’ roster in 2006, but he did not play. Colin Clark appeared in seven games for the Rapids that season, but they were:

at Houston on April 29

at D.C. on Aug. 19

at Dallas on Aug. 30

at Real Salt Lake on Sept. 2

at Kansas City on Sept. 9

at Los Angeles on Sept. 16

and at New England on Sept. 30

Seven games that season, all on the road.

And I suppose that makes two lists for this week.

Nice start to the list. Perhaps this points to what makes a “generation” in soccer playing terms. If you play at the highest level, how long will you make it?

Or, maybe this is a better example of how Clavijo guided the team. No one’s job was safe, and there were a few players who probably shouldn’t have been on the field.

Any idea how many Rapids who played at Invesco before getting dealt to another team are still playing?

wow, that list would be a little longer, but it’s a good idea.
