Player of the week: Red Bulls’ Kandji

Macoumba Kandji of the Red Bulls, who scored a goal and assisted on two others in New York’s 4-1 victory over San Jose, was voted Major League Soccer’s player of the week by the North American Soccer Reporters.

Kandji received eight first-place votes.

Toronto’s Dwayne De Rosario got seven.
