The Colorado Rapids have announced plans for a promotion revolving around the man of the match for home games.
The feature will allow fans at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to vote via text message for who they believe should be the man of the match.
Starting at the 75th minute, fans will be asked to decide between three of the game’s top players. To vote, fans must send a text message to 88222. Upon conclusion of the voting, the player with the most votes receives the honor. Of those fans that voted, one will be chosen at random to go on the field after the game and meet the man of the match. The promotion will run at all remaining Rapids home games.

Winning tonight’s fan voting with a final tally of three is …..
ouch! the text-fluency rate at Dick’s is much higher than that.
They have cellphones in Colorado now? Interesting!
