How I did at picking the winners

So how did I stack up against TJ of MLS-Daily in picking the winners from week 12′s fixtures?

Here are our predictions and the actual results:

THURSDAY
D.C. United 2, Red Bulls 0

George’s pick: D.C. United (**NO BRAINER**)
TJ’s pick: D.C. United
Two points for me!

Dynamo 1, Chicago Fire 0
George’s pick: Chicago Fire
TJ’s pick: Tie
Both wrong.

Columbus Crew 2, Kansas City Wizards 0
George’s pick: Tie
TJ’s pick: Kansas City Wizards (**NO BRAINER**)
Both wrong, but TJ lost his no-brainer. Ouch!

Los Angeles Galaxy 2, Toronto FC 1
George’s pick: Tie
TJ’s pick: Toronto FC
Both wrong.

Colorado Rapids @ Real Salt Lake
George’s pick: Tie
TJ’s pick: Real Salt Lake
Another point for Georgie!

Chivas USA 1, Seattle Sounders 0
George’s pick: Chivas USA
TJ’s pick: Tie
Another point for Georgie. It’s 4-0 for me at this point.

San Jose Earthquakes 2, FC Dallas 2
George’s pick: FC Dallas
TJ’s pick: FC Dallas
Both wrong.

New England Revolution 4, New York Red Bulls 0
George’s pick: New England Revolution
TJ’s pick: New England Revolution
One point each (and one tough week for the Red Bulls).

So the final tally was 5 right for me and one right for TJ. Awesome! Don’t tread on my predicitons, Teej!

Actually, I ended with two (D.C. United on Thursday and New England on Sunday). Give me a LITTLE credit… any more irregularities in the totals and I might be forced to ask for a recount.

Seriously though, well done. The exact moment that I knew my chances for a win were dashed was while watching the Kansas City – Columbus game; in the first half, Jimmy Conrad, Aaron Hohlbein and Kevin Hartman all collided while going after a ball, allowing Schelotto to poach another one.

    Yep, that was my no-brainer.

Thanks for participating, we’ll have to do it again sometime. Best wishes.

    Cheers
    TJ
