In the interests of openness, here’s how I voted in the North American Soccer Reporters’ balloting for week 14’s top player:

PLAYER NAME: Omar Cummings, Colorado Rapids

SECOND: Fredy Montero, Seattle Sounders

COMMENTS: Omar had two goals and assisted on Colin Clark’s score as the Rapids defeated D.C. United 3-0 on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. HUGE game from cummings, who showed speed, skill and playmaking ability in a decisive win over the top team in the East. Two goals for Montero in two ties.

And, yes, Omar won the award, the first time he’s been honored as player of the week.

If Omar keeps this up, we’re going to run out of photos of him.
