Division I, Division II polls released

This week, there are two women’s teams from Colorado in the Division 1 Top 25, as voted on by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. And Colorado College received some votes. Here are the polls:

In the Division II women’s poll, Fort Lewis improved to 6-0-0 and climbed three spots to 11th.

The Division II men’s poll features three teams from Colorado. Fort Lewis slipped from fourth to 14th after a difficult road trip to Texas. After driving 17 hours to Austin, the Skyhawks learned their game on Friday against St. Edward’s was canceled because of rain. As a result, Fort Lewis had to travel to San Antonio to play ninth-ranked Incarnate Word on their home field, instead of the neutral location in Austin. Fort Lewis lost 2-1 and then made the long drive home.

Mines, meanwhile, tied Incarnate Word 1-1 on Friday then tied St. Edward’s 1-1 on Sunday. The Orediggers improved to 4-0-2 and climbed to ninth in the poll.

CSU-Pueblo debuted at 19th. The Thunderwolves beat Mary 3-1 and Montana State-Billings 2-1 in overtime.
