The Air Force Academy women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime match against Texas Christian on Thursday morning at Garvey Rosenthal Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-10-1 and 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference.

The Horned Frogs improved to 8-5, 1-0.

Michelle Nguyen’s goal off a penalty kick in the 93rd minute lifted TCU to the win.

The loss overshadowed a gutsy effort from the Falcons, who limited the Horned Frogs, the Mountain West’s top-scoring team, to just three shots on goal.

Air Force had five shots, with five different Falcons taking a shot. Sophomore Ariana Green had two saves during 93 minutes in goal for Air Force.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday at New Mexico. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
