Toronto FC forward Dwayne De Rosario was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters for Week 10 of the 2010 MLS season. De Rosario supplied two goals for Toronto in the team’s 3-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium.

The Toronto captain came off of the bench in the second half.  In the 66th minute, De Rosario sprinted to the top of the box for a ball chipped behind the defense by teammate Dan Gargan.  De Rosario placed the ball past Earthquakes goalkeeper Joe Cannon racing off his line to cut down the angle.

For his second goal of the evening, De Rosario ran down a ball cleared out of the back by Nick LaBrocca during second half stoppage time, and tapped the ball into an empty net from just eight yards out.

Our Vote: De Rosario has now reached the point where he is willing Toronto to win and he got the ColoradoSoccerNow.com vote. His two goals on Saturday were just the latest manifestation of his abilities. Our second choice was Sebastien Le Toux, who had a goal and an assist for Philadelphia. Le Toux is excelling in a place where it would be much easier to fail. He makes a lot with a little.
