Colorado School of Mines’ Baski Baker has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced Tuesday by the RMAC.

Last week, CSM picked up a pair of wins to improve to 3-0 on the season. Mines posted a 4-0 victory over then 24th-ranked West Texas A&M on Tuesday, Sept. 7th. On Friday, the Orediggers hosted University of Mary defeating the Marauders by a score of 4-1. CSM has nine goals in three games and has assists on eight of those nine goals.

Baker, a freshman forward from Socorro, N.M., currently leads the squad with four goals on the season. Baker notched his first career hat trick in Mines’ win over Mary on Friday. Baker currently leads the RMAC in both goals (4) and points (8). In CSM’s home opener against defending National Champion Fort Lewis, Baker scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory to help CSM earn its first win against the Skyhawks since 2004.

No. 3-ranked Mines (3-0 overall) opens Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this week with a pair of games. CSM will host Mesa State on Friday at 4:30 pm at the CSM Soccer Stadium. Mines will travel to play UC-Colorado Springs on Sunday at 2:30 pm.
