Issa Bissau, last week’s RMAC defensive player of the week, picked up the honor for the second time this season, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Bissau, a sophomore, recorded two more shutouts over the weekend as the Roadrunners started conference play.

The pair of shutouts extended his streak to four in a row, a school record. In addition, the four shutouts have come on the first four starts of his career. On Friday, Bissau made three saves in a 5-0 dismantling of UC-Colorado Springs. On Sunday, he made two more saves in a 1-0 win against Mesa State.

For the season, Bissau has a 0.00 goals against average, and has stopped nine shots.

No. 11 ranked Metro State faces No. 18 Regis University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
