Riverside blues for Air Force

A second-half goal provided the difference as University of California-Riverside beat the Air Force Academy men’s soccer team on Friday.

Jimmy Martinez scored the game’s only goal in the 60th minute off assists from Tyler Wilson and Joel Garcia. Nick Goldreich picked up the shutout win for UC-Riverside, while Matt Underwood allowed the lone score.

For the game, Riverside put eight shots on goal to six for the Falcons.

With the win, UC-Riverside improved to 3-4-0, while Air Force fell to 1-4-0.

The Falcons will linger on the West Coast playing California State-Northridge at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
