The Skyhawks continued their winning ways in women’s soccer, while rivals Regis, Mines and Metro State each picked up victories on Friday.

Fort Lewis 3, Colorado Christian 1: The Skyhawks eased past the Cougars on the strength of a Sara Egbom brace in Lakewood, Colorado.

Egbom’s goals in the 30th and 49th minutes put the conference leaders ahead on Friday afternoon, before Kaylan Bearden halved the lead in the 54th minute. Torrey Larson restored the two-goal margin in the 90th minute of the game.

The Skyhawks improved to 13-1-0, 9-1-0 RMAC, while the Cougars dropped to 1-13-1, 1-9-1 RMAC with the loss.

Conference-leading Fort Lews continues its Denver area road trip with a noon game Sunday against Metro State.

Metro State 3, CSU-Pueblo 1: Reeling from two straight losses for the first time since 2001, the Roadrunners jumped on the Thunderwolves early for an RMAC victory Friday afternoon.

Michael’Ann Karas, who had been pinching in from the wing on the left side, was rewarded in the 20th minute with a moonshot pass from Becca Medina that left Karas open in front of the goal. Her shot from the left side put the Roadrunners up 1-0.

Medina picked up her second assist of the day about seven minutes later with a pass to Nicole Pollack, who broke away in the box to double the lead.

Ashley Nemmers added an insurance goal off a pass from Madison McQuilliams in the 77th minute.

Jessa Cook knicked into the final margin with an 88th minute goal for the Thunderwolves, after dribbling past two defenders and beating goalkeeper Sarah Tanous. Tanous made four saves in picking up the win in her first career start.

The win for the Roadrunners came after a 1-0 loss to Fort Lewis on Sunday and a 2-1 loss in the second overtime against Regis on Wednesday. Metro State improved to 10-3-1, 6-3-1 RMAC, while CSU-Pueblo fell to 4-8-1, 2-6-1 RMAC.

Regis 1, Mesa State 0: The Mavericks continued their streak of playing teams close, but ultimately succumbing, this time falling to the Rangers on an 88th minute goal.

Kari Taylor headed in a Jordan Miller cross from the right side of the goal to provide the final margin. Ellen Augsburger picked up the shutout win for Regis.

The Rangers moved to 11-4-0, 8-2-0 RMAC, while the Mavericks slipped to 4-8-2, 2-7-1 RMAC.

Mines 3, Nebraska-Kearney 1: A two-goal comeback erased a first-half own goal to give the Orediggers a win over the Lopers.

Jessica Stark, Kim Lockard and Anna Evans scored for Mines, which went to the half tied with the Lopers after a 28th minute own goal.

The Orediggers improved to 6-3-3, 4-2-1 RMAC. The Lopers dropped to 6-5-1, 3-4-1 RMAC.

New Mexico Highlands 3, UCCS 1: The Cowgirls overwhelmed the Mountain Lions Friday night in Colorado Springs.
