Men moving up in MPSF

Goals from Jarod Stigall and Kellan Christensen powered the Pioneers past Seattle 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Denver improved to 8-5-4, 5-2-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, while Seattle dropped to 4-10-3, 2-6-1 MPSF.

Stigall scored in the 28th minute off a corner kick from Mark Weigand that he shot to the near post. Christensen added an insurance goal in the 71st minute off a Michael Perry cross.

The Pioneers now face Air Force Academy in the regular season finale at 7 p.m. Saturday at CIBER field in Denver.
