The Real Colorado Foxes released the schedule for the team’s coming season in the United Soccer League’s 64-team Premier Development League on Monday.

The Foxes return to Shea Stadium for a third straight season, with single game ($3 Youth, $5 Adult) and discounted season tickets packages from $20-35 , going on sale at the Real Colorado Offices and Online today.

(Complete schedule can be found here.)

Last season, the Foxes finished third in the Heartland Division, missing the playoffs with a 7-3-6 record.

The 2011 season brings a new team to the PDL’s Heartland Division. The Foxes face newcomer WSA Winnipeg four times. The division remains at seven teams after losing a team in the offseason. The Rochester Thunder, an expansion club in 2009, ceased operations after making the 2010 PDL playoffs.

Real Colorado opens its campaign with back-to-back games against the Kansas City Brass; Saturday, May14, and Sunday, May15, at 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively with the first official home game being held at Colorado College’s Washburn Field as a special Neutral Site US Open Cup play-in qualifying match.

The Foxes will see the St. Louis Lions just once – May 22 on the road. The team will not face the Des Moines Menace, despite the how these teams battled to three draws in a span of eight days last season. The regular season concludes with a four-game road trip, playing back to back games over back to back weekends that conclude on July 23 in Thunder Bay.

Real Colorado continues to be a hotbed of cultivation for future professionals with Chris Salvaggione and Brad Stisser signing with teams in the USL Pro (Charlotte Eagles and Rochester Rhinos respectively), keeper Joe Willis being drafted by DC United of Major League Soccer as well as Steven Emory’s recent signing with the Colorado Rapids.

The 64-team PDL has four conferences and nine divisions. The Eastern Conference features three divisions while the Southern, Central and Western Conferences feature two divisions each. The Heartland and Great Lakes divisions comprise the Central Conference.

The nine division champions will advance to the PDL Playoffs (beginning July 30), with a plan for league quarterfinals and semifinals in the following weeks. USL officials will announce more details in the months leading up to the season.
