League looking for players

The Continental League has scheduled tryouts in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Pueblo May 21-22.
The league expects to field some of the top names in men’s amateur soccer along the Front Range.
Standout players who have played in the league include Ryan Creager, one of the most highly decorated players on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves team, Paul Regrutto, an assistant coach of the men’s soccer team at CSU-Pueblo, and Ryan Piechowski, a senior at UC Colorado Springs.
The league will field five teams this year: The Colorado Springs Sporting Club, Denver City Soccer Club, FC Boulder County, Pueblo County Athletic Club, and Colorado Springs SC Under-23.
Players in the league train and compete over the summer months. Their participation does not affect NCAA college eligibility.
League President Jonathan Williams said he expects to see some of the best-recognized players in Colorado at tryouts.
“This league is not just for current college players but for the best players, regardless of age, to come together and represent their community in competition against players from other Front Range areas,” he said.
The Continental League season runs from late May to early August.
