Major League Soccer unveiled the league-wide schedule on Thursday. For the Rapids, it means the team will open the season with expansion side Portland Timbers on March 19 and close with Real Salt Lake at home on Oct. 14.

The Colorado Rapids added a forward and a defender from the collegiate ranks in the final rounds of the supplemental draft on Tuesday.

With only two picks in a three-round draft, the Rapids picked up a pair of young defenders, bringing the roster to 25 out of 30 slots filled.
