Rapids striker Conor Casey has been chosen as one of the 2009 MLS All-Star Game’s first 11 players.

One day after being selected the league’s player of the week, Colorado Rapids forward Conor Casey was voted Major League Soccer’s player of the month for May by the North American Soccer Reporters.

Here’s how I voted with the North American Soccer Reporters for player of the month for May and player of the week for week 11. Apparently you had to be named Casey/Kasey to get my vote. The weekly vote for Rapids striker Conor Casey, right, who scored twice against New York, was nearly unanimous.
