The Colorado Rapids have signed Argentinian forward Facundo Diz, the team announced today. Diz, pictured at right, will be available to play Saturday against the New York Red Bulls at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Christian Gomez, who didn’t fit into the Colorado Rapids’ plans last season, had a hand in all three D.C. United goals as the Rapids lost 3-1 Saturday at RFK Stadium. Jaime Moreno, Bryan Namoff and Luciano Emilio scored for D.C., and the Rapids’ goal came from a Namoff own goal.
