Forward Brittney Lyman gave Colorado College an early lead, but Fresno State scored late in regulation to tie the game and escape Stewart Field with a 1-1 tie on Friday afternoon.

Lyman put the Tigers on the board in 13th minute when she directed a perfect cross by forward Lauren DiGregorio into the net for her second goal of the season.

The Bulldog defense shifted toward DiGregorio as she dribbled down the right side and left Lyman unmarked in the box for an easy score from five yards out.

Katie DeVault kept Fresno State in the game during the first half when she made five of her 10 saves. DeVault’s biggest stop occurred in the 56th minute when she got just enough of a Lyman shot from eight yards out to push it outside the right post.

The Bulldogs (3-3-2) avoided the shutout with 2:34 left when Jaycee Bingham scored on a header off of a serve by Lauren Lindstrom from 35 yards out.

CC’s Hannah Berglund stopped three shots in the second half, including a lunging tip that sent a direct kick by Vanessa Gonzalez just over the crossbar.

Next Up: Colorado College (1-4-2) continues its season-long four-game home stand on Sunday against the University of Arkansas at noon. Arkansas (2-4-0) defeated Air Force 2-1 on Friday.
