Coming off a frustrating 2-3-5 season, the Colorado Force named W-League veteran Tony Anglin head coach.

This is the weekend when all things soccer come to life on local pitches. In about 48 hours, it’s possible to catch one MLS and three W-League games in the Denver area. It’s the perfect segue into World Cup play starting June 11 on TV.

The Colorado Force concluded its Pacific Northwest swing with a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Force faces Vancouver and Seattle this weekend at Loveland Sports Park.

The Colorado Rush will join the Colorado Force as the two entries from this state in the W-League’s Western Conference in 2010. Rush coach Erik Bushey took some time to chat about the process of starting from scratch.
