Air Force Academy recently added Chris Foster as an assistant coach.

Anthony Latronica has been promoted to associate head coach for the Air Force men’s soccer team. Latronica, who has been with the program for three years as an assistant coach, will continue his recruiting and on-field coaching duties.

The University of Denver will face New Mexico at 7:30 p.m. tonight at DU after beating Air Force in a shootout on Thursday. The Falcons scored twice in the final 15 minutes of regulation to tie the match, but DU goalkeeper Joe Willis made three saves in the shootout to help the Pioneers advance.

Jesse Henderson and Collin Audley scored as the University of Denver men’s soccer team handed Air Force its first loss of the season at Cadet Soccer Stadium. DU’s 2-0 victory sets up a rematch between the Pioneers and Falcons on Thursday at DU in the conference tournament.

Brigham Young scored three second-half goals Friday night to capture a 3-0 victory over Air Force in the Falcons’ final home game of 2009. BYU improved to 14-2-2 and 5-0-1 in the Mountain West Conference.

Senior Josh Rhynard scored two goals and added one assist Monday afternoon to lead the Air Force men’s soccer team to a decisive, 6-3 victory over Missouri-Kansas City at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The Air Force Academy women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime match against Texas Christian on Thursday morning at Garvey Rosenthal Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sophomore midfielder Bridgett Murphy scored from the top of the penalty area in the 77th minute as Air Force won its second match of the season, a 1-0 decision against New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon at the academy.
