The women’s soccer team from the Colorado School of Mines collected its first victory ever in the NCAA tournament as Kayla Mitchell scored her 28th and 29th goals of the season in a 2-1 win against Regis University on Thursday in Durango.

Regis University ran into a buzzsaw on Friday in Durango as the Fort Lewis College men’s soccer team, ranked No. 2 in the nation, rolled to a 6-1 victory in the RMAC tournament semifinals on Friday in Durango.

Jordan Brandel scored twice, goalkeeper Wally Fink got on the scoresheet and Patrick Bonitatibus, Adam Hinkelman, James Copeland and Nathan Kafer added goals as Regis University wrapped up its regular season with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday at home against Colorado Christian.

Chelsea Reichard, Jordan Miller and Heather Thomas scored as the Regis University women’s soccer team defeated Colorado Christian 3-1 on Saturday in Denver.

Marissa Davis scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Regis University women’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Colorado-Colorado Springs on Wednesday evening at Mountain Lion Stadium.

Freshman Erin Kettmann scored in the first half as the Regis University women’s soccer team, ranked fifth in the Central Region, topped the Colorado School of Mines 1-0 on Wednesday in Golden. The Orediggers are ranked third in the region.
