The Regis Rangers scored first, but Colorado School of Mines battled back for a 2-1 win in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for the two team on Friday.

Meghan Stuart gave Regis (3-3-0, 0-1-0 RMAC) an early lead when she followed Erin Kettmann’s shot that Orediggers ‘keeper Briana Schulze deflected away. Stuart knocked the deflection into the net in the 15th minute.

The Orediggers (2-1-2, 1-0-0 RMAC) came back through the boot of Megan Woodward. The midfielder delivered a penalty kick in the 19th minute, and followed in the 39th minute with a free kick goal to put Mines in front.

Up next, the Rangers will face Mesa State at 1 p.m. Sunday on the Regis Match Pitch. The Orediggers travel to Colorado Springs to face UCCS at noon on Sunday.
