The Regis University Rangers opened up Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with a 1-0 victory over Colorado Christian University in Lakewood.

Forward Kyle Emge scored Regis’ lone goal, which produced the Rangers fifth win in as many games this season.

The entire first half went scoreless as Regis (5-0-0, 1-0-0 RMAC) controlled the pace of the game with 18 shots to the Cougars’ (0-5-0, 0-1-0 RMAC) two. Cougars ‘keeper Jared Jacobs kept Colorado Christian close with multiple saves throughout the afternoon.

It wasn’t until the 68:32 mark when Regis tallied a goal off their numerous shots. Emge was assisted by fellow forward Nathan Kafer on the play.

Up next, Regis will face Metro State on the road on Sept. 22nd. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
